Torrington Riverfront is a passive-house designed mixed-use, mixed-income residential community, revitalizing the site of the former Torrington Manufacturing Company.

Developed by Pennrose, in cooperation with the City, the project transforms a vacant parcel of land adjacent to the future Naugatuck Greenway pedestrian trail. It is being envisioned as the first phase of larger development with walkable connections to downtown amenities and services.

Architect / Landscape Architect - WRT Design

WRT created an exceptional project, leading to a wildly rewarding day of photography, and uniquely the opportunity to mix architectural, aerial, and photojournalistic imagery to meet their communication goals.

The shoot was produced on the warmest of October days, and the community that provided the vibrant life for all our images, emerged again to enjoy the fleeting summer-like evening. Unplanned, we tossed aside our in-progress interior shot, ditched the tripod, and I utilized my journalism experience to capture the relationships and activity emerging from the re-envisioned site.
